Between September 20, 2019, and September 23, 2019, children and young people from residential services in Sofia and Plovdiv participated in the project BG05M9OP001-2.009-0006-C01 “Growing Up is a Mission.” As part of the project, they visited eight events and creative workshops that were included in the program of “Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture.” The program had a vision of using culture as an effective means of improving the environment and developing relationships between people. The events were held in the city of Plovdiv.
During the camp, the group had the opportunity to enjoy various activities and experiences. These included a concert held under Nebet Tepe, a demonstration showcasing marble techniques, a visit to the impressive Roman Stadium with its unique architecture, a tour of all the halls, and a living exhibition at the Regional Museum of Natural History. Additionally, the group was treated to an exciting fire show and had the chance to participate in many creative workshops at Kapana Fest.
Throughout the camp, we distributed 24 promotional flyers and 20 pens. We also had oral discussions and explanations about the project activities. We aimed to raise awareness in the local community about the financial contribution provided by the ESF through the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development” 2014-2020.
